About 5-a-Side?
The Cottee's Schools 5-a-side will bring together a number of local schools participating in 5-a-side football matches on small fields in a round robin format at local venues.
Some students will also have the chance to represent their school in a number of football challenges throughout the day. The day will focus entirely on enjoyment and participation and there will be no scores recorded or winners on the day.
The day will give both boys and girls who may or may not have ever played before the opportunity to experience and be introduced to football in a fun environment.
Details of the day are as follows:

| TIME | Arrive from 9.15am. Welcome and Introduction at 9.40am |
| AGE | Years 3 and 4 |
| TEAMS | Each boy, girl and mixed (4boys/4girls) teams, should have a maximum of 8 players. |
| ATTIRE | School soccer or sports uniform. Shin Pads are compulsory and children can wear either football boots or suitable trainers. |
| LUNCH | Children are encouraged to bring their own snacks, lunch and drinks. |
| RULES | Included (Rules are simplified and easy to understand) |
| GAME | Each school is required to supply a capable year 6 student for each of your teams (3 in total) to act as a game leader. |
| LEADER | They will receive a briefing at the start of the day. |
| FORMAT | The day will be conducted in a round robin format with teams playing up to five matches and participating in some football challenges. |
| EQUIPMENT | Balls, goals, markers & bibs will be supplied. |
